Terms of Service

Effective October 3, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of SendThePass.com (the “Service”). The Service is a free project sponsored by HUFF DATA SYSTEMS, developed by contributors, some of whom are HUFF DATA SYSTEMS team members, and it incorporates open-source software from independent third parties. In these Terms, “we” and “us” refer to the SendThePass.com project and its contributors. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Notice. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

SendThePass.com lets you share passwords, messages, Wi-Fi details and QR codes through links that expire after a set number of views or a set time, and provides a password generator. The Service is free and requires no account.

2. Your acknowledgment of how the Service works

By using the Service, you confirm that you have reviewed and understand how it protects and shares your information, as described in the Privacy Notice and on this site. In particular:

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

We may restrict access, delete links or block traffic that we believe violates these Terms or threatens the Service. We cannot read encrypted content and do not monitor it.

4. Assumption of risk

You use the Service entirely at your own risk and accept any and all risks of using it, including, without limitation, unauthorized access to a link; interception, exposure, loss or deletion of content; links expiring or failing before a recipient opens them; recipients being blocked by optional restrictions such as IP locking; and the Service being unavailable. You are solely responsible for deciding whether the Service is suitable for the information you share.

5. Disclaimer of warranties

6. Limitation of liability

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the smallest amount permitted by law.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HUFF DATA SYSTEMS, its owners, employees and team members, and all other contributors from any claims, losses or expenses arising from your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

8. Sponsorship, contributors and open-source software

Sponsorship. HUFF DATA SYSTEMS supports the Service as a sponsor only. HUFF DATA SYSTEMS team members may contribute to the Service individually and on a voluntary basis. Their contributions are not services provided by HUFF DATA SYSTEMS, and no contribution creates a business, contractual or professional relationship between you and HUFF DATA SYSTEMS. The sponsorship and the HUFF DATA SYSTEMS name and logo do not constitute any endorsement, warranty or guarantee.

Open-source software. The Service integrates open-source software developed by independent third parties, including jspassgen (password generation, MIT License), qrcode-generator (QR codes, MIT License) and the EFF Large Wordlist (CC BY 3.0 US). Each component is used under its own license (see open-source licenses) and is provided by its authors “as is”, without warranty. Its authors are not affiliated with the Service or with HUFF DATA SYSTEMS and have no responsibility for the Service. Neither we nor HUFF DATA SYSTEMS are responsible for defects in, or the behavior of, third-party software.

No responsibility. To the fullest extent permitted by law, HUFF DATA SYSTEMS, its owners, employees and team members, all other contributors, and the authors of third-party software are not responsible or liable for:

Sections 4 to 7 (Assumption of risk, Disclaimer of warranties, Limitation of liability and Indemnification) apply equally to HUFF DATA SYSTEMS and to every contributor.

9. Changes

We may change, suspend or discontinue the Service, or update these Terms, at any time. The effective date above shows when these Terms were last changed. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms, and any dispute arising from or related to them or the Service, are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. You agree that any legal action will be brought only in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
